ANNAPOLIS, Md. - South River Technologies, Inc., (SRT) an innovator in secure file transfer and collaboration software, today announced the availability of its Managed File Transfer Product, the Titan MFT Server, a high performance enterprise server built on industry-standard protocols to guarantee secure file transfer. Titan MFT Server is an ideal solution for corporations required to comply with government standards such as HIPAA because both the transmission and storage of the files can be encrypted.
Corporations dealing with high volumes of data and file transfers will benefit from the Titan MFT Server’s support of clustering. A wizard-driven setup eases implementation and integrates seamlessly with a network’s existing architecture. The result is virtually unlimited storage and throughput ability as well as fail-over support to ensure continuity of service in the event of hardware failure or operating system error.
Titan also supports authentication through existing LDAP or Active Directory implementations, enabling secure access to network resources from outside of the corporate LAN. In addition, Titan MFT includes highly granular security settings that restrict IP access, prevent DoS and FXP attacks, and restrict file types that can be uploaded to the server.
The Titan MFT Server is the next generation of SRT’s highly successful Titan FTP Server, which is used by customers such as The U.S. Postal Service, The FAA, The University of South Carolina and Dow Jones. The clustering support and integration with existing network authentication technologies have been implemented in response to both customer and market demand.
“In government, healthcare or any industry the demand for secure file transfer has evolved into a complete managed environment which requires extending the existing network infrastructure beyond the corporate boundaries, while continuing to assure both performance and security,” said Michael Ryan, co-founder and CEO, South River Technologies. “Our customers choose Titan MFT Server because it is a cost-effective way to vastly reduce the risks, increase scalability and seamlessly work within existing network infrastructure.”
